Meet the Owner
John Rose, Ph.D.Principal Archaeologist & Owner
John Rose has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of cultural resource management and archaeological compliance.
He previously served as:
Forest Archaeologist on the Prescott National Forest (Arizona), responsible for planning and managing archaeological projects
BLM Field Office Archaeologist in Kingman, Arizona
Forest Service Archaeologist with the USDA Forest Service on the Klamath National Forest (California), Salmon-Challis National Forest (Idaho), and Winema National Forest (Oregon)
John has worked on archaeological projects for private CRM firms in Arizona, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. He also:
Meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for archaeological fieldwork
Holds a current Arizona Antiquities Act permit
Holds a current permit to conduct archaeological survey on BLM land in Arizona
Works with the Verde Valley Archaeology Center and Museum teaching archaeological field methods
Serves as the Veteran Service Officer at American Legion Post 40 in Chino Valley, Arizona
